Where to apply?

• Through the "UK ETA" mobile application, available on the App Store and Google Play.
• Online via the official government website.

When to apply?

• If you are travelling on 1st of April and returning on 3rd of April, you do not need an ETA. However, we recommend applying in advance to facilitate future travel to the United Kingdom.
• If you are arriving on 2nd April or later, an ETA will be mandatory.
• Applications for an ETA will only be possible from 5 March onwards.

Validity

• The ETA is valid for two years from the date of approval, provided that your passport remains valid. If your passport expires before the two-year period, you will need to apply for a new ETA with your new passport.
• The ETA is linked to a single passport: if you have multiple passports, a separate ETA is required for each one.
• British and Irish dual nationals do not need an ETA.

Cost

• The current fee is £10, but an increase is under negotiation.

Processing Time

• Three working days.

Application Duration

• Approximately 15 minutes.

What you will need

• The passport you will be travelling with (on arrival, you must present the passport used for the ETA application).
• Access to your email account.
• A valid payment method.

Important Considerations

• You cannot save your progress and return later. The application must be completed in one session.
• Take your time to answer questions correctly.
• Do not provide false information, as this could result in a refusal or issues at the border.
