Shaun Lundy
Shaun is a Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner and Chartered Building Engineer, with over 25 years of expertise in health, safety, and fire risk management. Currently serving as the Director of Strategy and Innovation at Tetra, Shaun is also recognised for his academic contributions as a visiting academic at the University of Greenwich. He further extends his expertise as an external examiner at the University of Portsmouth and in Malta.
Actively involved in shaping industry standards, Shaun collaborates with The Property Institute and the Building Safety Alliance to address the implications of new legislation on Building Safety. In the manufacturing sector, he plays a pivotal role as the Chair of the Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Policy Committee for Make UK, contributing significantly to industry-wide safety practices.
Shaun’s past accomplishments include leading the Occupational Safety and Health Consultants Register (OSHCR) as Chair and being a founding member of the HSE’s Myth Buster Challenge Panel. His commitment to the field is further exemplified by his doctoral research focusing on professional ethics in health and safety practice, a study he undertook while volunteering on the Professional Ethics Committee at IOSH. He continues to influence the industry through his involvement with IOSH, serving as a member of the IOSH Construction Committee.
Shaun’s research interests are as diverse as they are profound, encompassing ethics, leadership, education, and competence within health, safety, and fire practice in the built environment. His work not only reflects a deep commitment to advancing standards but also highlights his dedication to mentoring the next generation of professionals in this critical field.
