Safer materials handling with Combilift

Combilift Stand: 3/F60

WIDE RANGE OF PEDESTRIAN OPERATED TRUCKS ON STAND N/490

The focus on the Combilift stand at this year’s Health and Safety Event is on the company’s ever growing range of walk behind stacker trucks. In many industry sectors there is a move towards replacing ride-on forklifts with pedestrian trucks due to the reduced risk that they pose - not only to the operator but also to any other personnel or general public who may be in the vicinity.

Since Combilift launched its first pedestrian truck, the Combi-WR reach stacker, just under 10 years ago, it has developed numerous models in this range. These include the multidirectional Combi-WR4, the counterbalance design Combi-CS and the Combi-PPT, a power pallet truck that offers impressive lift capacities of up to 16,000kg.

As well as ensuring the safest possible working environment, these models have all been designed to guarantee space saving and productive operation, and they are also able to work in the narrowest aisles for machines of their type. A key feature is the unique patented, award-winning multi-position tiller arm which can be turned to the left or right of the unit to position the rear wheel. This allows the operator to remain at the side of the machine – the safest position - rather than at the rear as is the case with other pedestrian stackers. This vastly reduces the risk of operators being trapped or crushed between the back of the machine and racking when picking and placing loads in narrow aisles and avoids the need for the operator to look through the mast, thus enhancing visibility.

These models are not just for pallet handling, but can lift and move long products, and in the case of the Combi-PPT, extremely large and bulky loads too. Electronic power steering, precise fingertip controls and a display unit fitted on the tiller arm, make them easy and effortless to operate. Various lift heights and capacities are available, so make a note to visit the Combilift specialists who can advise on the best solution for your individual requirements.
