Health & Safety Event Director’s Blog – April 2020
Without a doubt, the importance of protecting workers and providing them with the correct training and equipment to do their job effectively has never been more prevalent. There is still a need and demand from industry and many suppliers are developing new products and services as well as providing guidance and advice on the options. BSIF members are making a determined effort to supply vital PPE especially those with Fit2Fit accreditation.
Many of our customers are re-evaluating their ways of working as so many of us are now working from home so this is an ideal opportunity to collaborate and partner with them on providing a focus to learn and develop understanding of this change in behaviour.
With practically 24-hour coverage of the Corona Virus, which inspiring stories and phenomenal commitment from the NHS & other frontline staff aside, is predominantly bad news and is putting more and more pressure on our mental health and wellbeing.
When the quarantine restrictions we are currently facing are lifted there will be a difficult period of transition as we try to get back to normal and the landscape will have changed and our experiences of social distancing may have altered our perception on things.
We are proud to be partnering with key stakeholders in the health & safety industry to provide a platform for interaction and learning beginning with a series of webinars taking place on the 28-30 April which was when the Health & Safety Event was originally due to be taking place at the NEC.
