Sustainability is also playing an increasingly important role in the manufacture of safety shoes. ELTEN has been working on ecologically and socially sustainable production for many years . With our ELTEN-Loop program, we bundle all of the company's measures for greater sustainability in the areas of environmental protection, social responsibility, product quality and company policy. For this, ELTEN has now been awarded the platinum medal in the EcoVadis rating for the first time .

About EcoVadis

EcoVadis provides companies with holistic corporate responsibility ratings through a cloud-based platform. The EcoVadis rating covers a wide range of non-financial management systems, including environmental, labor and human rights impacts, ethics and sustainable procurement. Each company is assessed by EcoVadis analysts on the topics relevant to its size, location and industry using company-specific documentation. The assessment focuses on criteria from international CSR standards such as the Compact Principles, the International Labor Organization (ILO) conventions, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standard, the ISO 26000 standard and the CERES principles.

TOP AWARD FOR ELTEN IN THE ECOVADIS RATING

The assessment by EcoVadis is carried out in four different certification levels (bronze, silver, gold, platinum). The platinum medal is the highest award given and an important recognition of ELTEN's sustainable commitment. This puts us in the top 1% of all companies assessed by EcoVadis in the last 12 months! ELTEN is therefore one of two companies in the "shoe manufacturing" category that can pin the top medal on its lapel. This shows that we are on the right track with our ELTEN Loop program and is also an incentive to continue our efforts.
