SK Training are licensed to deliver the UKATA Asbestos Awareness course, which is for those who have no intention of removing asbestos but work on buildings built or refurbished before the year 2000 where asbestos could be present. It aims to make you aware of the dangers of Asbestos but does not train you to work with any Asbestos containing materials.

For candidates who have previously completed this full course, SK Training also offers a condensed refresher course.

Course includes:

• The properties of asbestos and its effects on health, including the increased risk of lung cancer for asbestos workers who smoke
• An awareness of asbestos containing materials (ACMs)
• Development of the knowledge of the hazards and risks posedby ACMs
• Understand the risks from ACMs within your everyday working environment
• Understand how to avoid asbestos disturbance
• Provide information on legislative measures in place to safeguard yourself and those around you
