Safety Devices
Safety Devices are designed to prevent accidents, protect employees, and ensure safe operation during machine usage. The devices that can be incorporated into a machine are essential in keeping machinery, new and old, up to a high standard of safety whilst keeping the machine usable and free from harm as low as is reasonably practicable.
There are a wide range of safety devices, that are designed to be utilised in all manner of industrial environments. Here are a few of our favourites.
- Keyence Laser Scanners: Precise and high-performance detection for protecting people from hazardous areas. These devices can be integrated with people, products, moving machinery etc, and configured in complex-shaped protection zones.
- Keyence and Weiland Light Curtains: Secure access control and safeguarding against machine hazards. Robust design with the lens area narrowed and recessed in an impact resistant housing.
- Haake Trapped Key Interlocking Systems: A trapped key interlock is a safety device that securely locks a key in place, preventing access to hazardous machinery or equipment until specific conditions are met, ensuring that nobody can bypass safety protocols.
- Comitronic-BTI Non-Contact Switches: Efficient, durable magnetic interlock switches. Ideal for uses in tamperproof guarding with self-checking contactless coded sensor to the opposing magnet. Magnet activation distance is 10mm and can sense through up to 6mm of stainless steel.
- Weiland Solenoid Locking Interlock: Used for preventing unauthorised access and ensuring safe machine operation. These interlocks allow full rotation and compatibility of the head with the tongue, including vertical and horizontal actuation. Plastic or metal heads available, as well as emergency unlocking/escape release function if required.
