Safety Control Panels
Safety Control Panels are required for upgrading machinery, where industry standards must be met. These panels offer a seamless integration process and reliable protection for both equipment and workforce. Full as-built electrical drawings are included with each panel. Installation and testing of electrical panels can be carried out by our team.
There is no standard electrical panel for machinery. We work on the basis that specific machinery needs must be met as required. Included in the safety control panels are typically, at minimum, a low-voltage power supply and a dual-channel safety relay with fault monitoring. Dependant on the features that need to be implemented into machinery, these panels can be altered to suit, whilst keeping a user-friendly design which is compliant to BS EN 60204 Safety of machinery. Electrical equipment of machines, and BS EN ISO 13849 Safety of machinery. Safety related parts of control systems.
The following controls can be added to these safety control panels for more complex and versatile solutions:
- Additional safety relays
- Power isolation contactors with thermal overloads if required
- Additional timed safety relays
- DC injection braking
- Overspeed monitoring systems
- Zero-speed monitoring systems
- Safety controllers and additional modules (safety PLC)
- Pressure and temperature sensing and monitoring systems (hydraulic and pneumatic)
Safety control panels are fully customisable ranging from simple to complex, so our team works using functional design specifications to create the perfect safety system for your machine.
