Suitable for a larger disabled child to a moderately bariatric adult, the sling enables a safe, comfortable and dignified transfer from a wheelchair to another location without the indignity of manhandling and risk of bruising, skin shearing or other injuries.

It allows for fast evacuation in an emergency situation and gives families and carers the freedom to go on holidays and days out where there are no hoists available.

Strategically-placed rubber handles at the front and back can be easily grasped by two to four carers to distribute weight evenly and ensure controlled moving and handling. Extension handles can be added for handling individuals in awkward situations, such as carrying down stairs or lifting from a low level, and these also allow up to eight individuals to share the load.

Although the ProMove sling is intended primarily for use without a hoist, the addition of hoist straps mean it can be used with a patient handling hoist with a spreader bar (not models with a clip attachment). It is important to ensure the hoist is rated appropriately when lifting large adults.

Manufactured in the UK and designed to accommodate adults of different sizes, slings can also be adapted to meet specific requirements.
